Eddie Murphy takes the check and phones it in in this unnecessary follow up to an unnecessary follow up of “Beverly Hills Cop”! I chose this movie because my brother Mike Spiegelman is obsessed with it. He talks about it all the time. So he’s here to talk about why he loves it so much.
This is the third part of a three part #podcrawl! It started with “Hey, Do You Remember…?” reviewing “Beverly Hills Cop.” Then “Does it Have Legs?” took on “Beverly Hills Cop 2.” Now hear the conclusion – until there’s a BHC 4!
Check out other podcrawls with “Read it and Weep,” “The Flop House” and others.
Check out more great episodes with my brother Mike!
After supporting “Film Threat” – Check out Chris Gore’s appearance on this podcast!
“Collision Course” (1989) was an attempt to capitalize on the matinée idol, Jay Leno and teen heart-throb, Pat Morita. Jim Wise (writer “Mad TV,” “Tonight Show With Jay Leno”) recaps with me this cop movie disaster.
Jim also talks about the Denzel Washington copflop “Ricochet.”
Plot of Collision Course: A Japanese investigator (Morita) and a Detroit cop (Leno) team up to track down a stolen prototype turbocharger.
Bad Film Club’s Nicko joins me in reviewing “Batman & Robin.” It’s another #Podcrawl and this time we get stuck with the worst of the worst. This film is the fourth in the line of Batman movies that fans went to because they thought they had no choice.
It’s out of hand. All I know is that I couldn’t stop playing with my cats. It’s the most unprofessional episode ever. Ever. Totes.
If you want to be a completist, Check out the other shows involved in Podcrawl!
Bonnie and Maude – “Batman Returns” (With great info about Catwoman.)
Read It And Weep – “Batman Forever...until the next film flops” (With the very funny @taintdog)
Frank Conniff (MST3K) & Eric Szyszka (“We Hate Movies”) join Adam Spiegelman (“Proudly Resents”) join the podcrawl with the third Star Wars prequel. Listen for the action, the humor and the completion!
What is “Podcrawl?” It’s three bad movie podcasts reviewing the three crappy Star Wars prequels in order. Read it and Weep did “Star Wars 1: Getting ready for Disappointment.” The Flop House did “Star Wars 2: Fool me Once…” Now we’re doing “Star Wars 3: Third Time’s a Charm.”
With special appearances from Rob Parvonian, Janine Britto and Keith Malley.
Boobs, bombs and bazookas, throw in a killer snake (puppet) and this movie has it all! It’s “Hard Ticket to Hawaii.” Joey La Penna, Grace Kladstrup and Jim Conroy join me to take apart this cult classic. Jim also breaks down the the business of voice over acting and what movies are worth waiting for the end of the credits for. Take a listen to a funny episode above and watch the movie below.
From iTunes:A Hawaiian drug kingpin plans to flood the islands with narcotics financed by illegal diamond shipments to his private retreat. When his henchmen kill two DEA agents who were trying to stop the drug lord, the Agency sends in two of its best agents to break up the drug ring and take out the leader.
This week I’m a guest on the podcast “Read it and Weep.” We are talking about “Shark Attack 3: Megalodon” It was the first movie Nicko and I reviewed together on this show.
Watch the movie below. It’s awesome. Let me know what you think. I’d love to know. Warning/Bonus: There are boobs in the movie! And some very blue language. Don’t watch it with your grandmother. Or do. I don’t know your relationship to her.
This movie contains the worst movie line ever. “Shark Attack 3:Megalodon” is regarded as one of the best/worst movies. It’s star, John Barrowman is not only a working actor, but well known in England and soon to host “Sing Your Face Off” on ABC. The guy who said the worst line in film, ever, is now famous? He was even on “Touchwood” and the “Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special?”
This can’t be true. For the whole story we went to our British Bad Film Friend, Nicko. Nicko was so moved by this film when she saw it, she and partner Joe co-founded the Bad Film Club.
