Listen to The Projection Booth’s version of this show, which includes an interview with Rick Harper, the director of “Room Full of Spoons.”
Proudly Resents Room Episodes:
The Denny from “The Room,” Philip Haldiman, interview. Philip went on a blind audition for a movie he thought no one would see and it ended up as the biggest cult movie of the 21st century.
Philip talks about auditioning for “The Room,” acting in the movie and getting non-direction from Tommy Wiseau. Philip talks about creating a character out of nothing, only because Tommy didn’t give him anything. Find out what “Denny” is doing now.
Now Philip has written a comic book, “My Big Break” about his experience. Which is
good, because I hate to read. I like pictures.
Here’s Philip’s promo video:We did the interview on Skype so we have video chat. I’ll put it up on YouTube soon.
Film blogger and bad movie expert, Sherilyn Connelly, bashes the holiest of holy, “It’s a Wonderful Life. Here’s Sherilyn’s review of her own appearance:
“The Proudly Resents interview is up. If you listen closely, you can hear me waving my arms around as I extemporized like mad. I thought we were going to be talking more about the philosophy of Bad Movie Night and showing It’s a Wonderful Life, and I wasn’t expecting to have to come up with jokes on the spot about specific elements. Oh well. Still turned out okay.”
That’s pretty on the nose, but you should listen anyway!
Then a separate conversation with the owner of the Laemmle Theater chain in LA. They broke such films as “Swingers” and it was the first place to show “The Room” at midnight. But first, a bonus Chris Gore clip. Chris tells us how he gets dirty words past the censors on his G4 show, “Attack of the Show.”
Tommy Wiseau gives me an interview. The writer, director, star of the “Citizen Kane of Bad Films” talks about the musical version of his cult hit “The Room,” the violence is in all of us and what he really thinks of the “mainstream press.” Normally super secretive about his past, he also accidentally revealed he summered in Hawaii growing up.
Mostly he promoted his new webseries. Which is fine. It’s a funny interview. You can watch his show below.

What’s your favorite podcast? Nicko returns via Skype with Adam to ask the audience, “What’s your favorite podcast?” Learn how to tell us and win a prize. Also – great British TV, Sarah Palin goes all British on your ass, who’s more hateful and the next film we are reviewing is revealed!
While editing a show about “Ghost Fever,” I discovered that someone (Joey) had their cell phone on and ruined the audio. One quick call to Nicko and we get a very funny replacement episode and/or diminishing returns.
Every “The Room” fan knows that one thing Tommy will not talk about his home country. He wants to keep that a mystery. Also mysterious? The man behind the unofficial prequel to “The Room” called “The Dingy Apartment.” Yes, “The Room” has fan fiction.
The webpage describes the prequel as:
For all that The Room accomplishes, perhaps its most compelling achievement is the sprawling mythos it evokes. So many past events are alluded to but never revealed. Why didn’t the YMCA cash Johnny’s check? How did Denny get involved with Chris-R? Why won’t Peter go to the Bay To Breakers marathon this year?
Where did Johnny get his accent from? And does nobody have a last name? Read More »
“Nail Gun Massacre” It’s “Nail Gun Massacre” a very fun slasher film where the killer dishes out bad one liners and nail influenced death. Todd Levin (“Conan”) and Adam Spiegelman (Proudly Resents) talk about this great bad movie and what the Sklar Brothers would be like as mass murders.
Look out! Nails! These nails will get you just by going in your hands.
Clips of “Nail Gun Massacre” were taken out of the show b/c the NGM people pulled down other sites that played clips. But I was able to get the ending of “Nail Gun Massacre” off youtube. It’s not in English, but it wouldn’t make any more sense if it was.
Here’s Todd Levin talking about Todd Levin. By Todd Levin:
Tommy Wiseau didn’t direct “The Room?” Sandy Schklair claims that when he was hired for vanity project he was asked to also “Tell the actors where to go and to call ‘action’ and ‘cut.” Sandy never thought the movie would be seen, by anyone.
Faster than you can say “Springtime for Hitler,” “The Room” is an international hit and Tommy is taking all the credit. Sandy sits down with host Adam Spiegelman and spills all the behind the scenes details of the movie that was never meant to be.
